Meanwhile, I just started this Telegram group <https://t.me/joinchat/Bd_Xp0dDMiVcLOGVT5o--Q> https://t.me/joinchat/Bd_Xp0dDMiVcLOGVT5o--Q to make quick discussions easier than by emails…

Maybe we can start with a presentation of everyone?

#first_lastname and then short presentation

Best,

Michael

That should not be a problem. If fly-jedi domain admin could add the following A and AAAA records for padawan.fly-jedi.org <http://padawan.fly-jedi.org> :

@fly-jedi.org

padawan IN A 85.214.208.159

padawan IN AAAA 2a01:238:431b:4000::1

That would do it. Will try to find time to setup servers this week.

Best,

R.

Cool! As long as we just provide links to the documents etc I could do the admin. Once we start having more content we could distribute the work.

Would be cool to have it as a subdomain of the fly-jedi site if possible.

Hi there!

I have a bunch of servers available. I could setup the website, but do not think will have time to maintain it. So that would involve someone volunteering to be the webmaster.

Cheers,

R.

Hi everyone,

I think that's a great idea! What we would need for this in order to work as Natalia proposed would be two things:

1. a document that people could edit

2. a central place to store/access this document

Two possibilities to solve this could be:

1. setup a Padawan Wiki, maybe access restricted, where everyone could then add & edit pages (e.g.:https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki or https://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki# <https://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki> )

2. use a public google document and link it from a (possibly access restricted) website.

Both possibilities would include the creation of a website with a Wiki or Wordpress install which might be a bit over the top for only one document but it might be helpful to collect further resources in the future. What do you guys think?

Have a nice Sunday,
Daniel

P.S.: Solution 2 could also start with a static website and be expanded later on if necessary.

Hi Padawans,

I think that we could push this resource a bit further if we could join forces sharing our knowledge about the job market. What I have in mind is a shared document listing fixed calls for grants or positions for the postdoc to pi transition in European countries. If you guys like the idea we could start with volunteers that would take care of starting the list per country. It doesn’t have to be an exhaustive research on everything that is possible but rather a basic ground on which we can all start adding on. What I am not sure is how we could share the document and how could be only editable by us… Any suggestions?

@Giorgio. What do JEDIs use in these occasions?

I would volunteer for La France! Jeje. Would anybody else volunteer?

Enjoy the weekend!

Best

Natalia
